FAIZABAD, Afghanistan, March 23 (Xinhua) -- One commuter lost his life and 11 others were injured due to a road mishap in northern Afghanistan's Badakhshan province on Saturday night, provincial police spokesman Ehsanullah Kamgar said Sunday.
Blaming reckless driving for the accident, the official said the vehicle plunged into a ravine in Raghistan district, leaving a woman dead on the spot and injuring 11 others including women and children, with some in critical condition.
Similar accidents left five travelers dead in the neighboring Takhar and two others killed in the eastern Wardak province on Friday.
