KABUL, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Police have arrested three individuals in charge of making mines in northern Afghanistan's Balkh province, a news release of the provincial police office said Monday.
A man was making mines in his residence in the Marmol district recently, but the device exploded and injured him, the news release added.
Police raided the area and arrested three mine makers, the news release said, adding police have also found a 13 kg explosive device, an assault rifle and over two dozen bullets.
