CHARIKAR, Afghanistan, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Police have discovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition from eastern Afghanistan's Parwan province, provincial police spokesman Fazal Rahim Muskinyar said Wednesday.
The weaponry, which includes a piece of AK-47, two pistols, an anti-personnel mine, were discovered in Siagurd district on Tuesday, the official added.
No one has been arrested so far, the official said, adding that an investigation is underway.
In similar operations, police recovered five pieces of AK-47 from Nuristan province a few days ago.
